This meeting is primarily intended for a French speaking audience. However, well-known foreign speakers will be present and will make their presentation in English. A direct English/French and French/English translation will be available.
OBJECTIVES
The introduction of volumic and multislice CT has undergone a dramatic change in CT applications. The 4th French MDCT scan Symposium will once again take place in the Congress Center of Nancy.
This meeting aims to explain the new and various technical aspects of MDCT and more precisely to highlight the differences between the equipment. Economic impact, workflow management, radiation exposure control and contrast media injection modalities will be stressed. Finally, the place of MDCT in various pathologies will be debated.
The following fundamental questions will be addressed :
- what is State of the Art technology today ?
- How to perform routine cardiac and peripheral arteries examinations ?
- How to reduce radiation exposure without decreasing image quality ?
- How to obtain high quality images with lower volume of contrast media?
- Is it feasible to regularly update the equipment and to maintain top performance ?
- How to acquire the best type of equipment ?
(CT-scan, workstation...) according to specific needs ?
- What possible improvements can be expected in the next few years ?
TECHNICAL EXHIBITS
Manufacturers from different companies will be on hand to demonstrate their new equipment.
